Ahhh Relaxing After A Busy Day!

Sometimes you just gotta lie back and take a moment to reflect on your day's accomplishments.  It's tough being a kitten.  Thankfully this place has all kinds of things lying around for me to unleash my creative side.  I give you my masterpiece I like to call "What I did all day Friday".
Or maybe better titled "What the Human did all night Friday".   :)

You Still Here?

The kittens love their television time.  Dolly is using Johnny's butt as a pillow here and is wanting to know where's the popcorn.
Frankie just wants to know, "why are you still here?".  I think they want me adopted so they can keep the couch and the tv.

Sheba & Casey

By: Jennifer Fitzsimmons

Sheba and Casey are my cats that were with me throughout my teenage years and beyond. We lost Casey a few years ago and Sheba last month. Sheba was one day old when we brought her in from the neighbor's yard. Her mother had left her between slabs of concrete on the ground. My mother and I (well, mostly my mother :-)) bottle fed her and cared for her. It was pretty close to taking care of a real baby (at least I assume). I was so scared she wouldn't make it through the first night because the vet warned us she might not. I checked on her every hour through the night. She made it through and we very close until I moved out. I think she was pissed that I took Rusty with us instead. Casey we brought in the year after Sheba. He was about two weeks old. They have the same mother, but the father we are not sure. I did know who his father was because there was a male orange Manx outside just like him that we fed along with the mother cat. I loved the outside cat who was already named Casey, so I had to keep the kitten and I named him Casey too. That was a huge argument between my parents and I because they did not want another cat, but of course being the spoiled only child, I got my way. ;-) Funny thing is Casey became very close to my mom and didn't really bother with me at all. We got Rusty years later and I moved Rusty in with Mike and I a couple of months after we moved in together when my parents moved down the shore.

In Memory Of Amanda

With Summer kicking in with the high temperatures and desire to blow work off and head on out to the beach or back to bed for some...I'd like to share a fond memory of my original hula girl Amanda. Ah yes, the grass skirt, the bikini top spun backwards...the evil glare in her eyes that say "I dare you to fall asleep".  She was such a good sport.

If you have any photos of a loved one you want to share, write up a little snippet to go along with it and we'll post it!  Remember...always use sunscreen!!

Jungle Life

So I guess the kittens are now trying to see just how high they can climb or at least are trying to find a decent spot to look down at us from.  Here is Frankie (on top) and Dolly going from a stand to the folded up treadmill.
Here's Dolly looking down at Frankie who slid down the treadmill when he lost his footing.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand here is Dolly who didn't quite make it to the top of the curtain rod like she was trying for.  Keep trying Dolly. Keep trying to reach for those stars.

Happy Go Lucky

Here's an update on the little kitty we were calling Choco Cat. He's been renamed Lucky by his new owners. He's doing well in his new digs. He looks kinda like a tarsier here doesn't he with his biiiiig eyes??
This is a tarsier just incase you didn't know what they were. Cute little monkey guys.

♥ Johnny ♥

I like watching a bit of TV..it facinates me.

The view sometimes isn't close enough so I like to climb to get a better view....

The perch puts me more at the level of the television so I can check out all the action, the drama, the romance....
But sometimes the action can be a little loud with the booms and stuff so I'll sit under the television until it quiets down again....
Except for Friday nights...that's Movie night and the Chiller Channel is on...then I hide behind the ottoman and under the blankie, peeking out behind the curtains making sure the zombies aren't coming to get me.
