The Farkas Has Struck Again....

My neighbor Gale Farkas has done an amazing job capturing 2 more cats.  This one is Cali, who we've caught before but was still nursing so we had to release her. This time she isn't nursing and is in a nice warm cat bed relaxing and reuniting with her baby cat.  The weather is cold people and the wind and rain are not helping.  We're giving them food, blankets and shelter til they can go to the SPCA and be fixed on Tuesday morning.  Then they will be taken to a foster home to recover and hopefully we'll have found good homes for them both real soon.

This one is Hitch. She's Cali's little kitten. We keep calling her Milk Mustache Baby because of her "Got Milk?" face.  She is just like her mother, very loving and sweet.  The foster family taking her in are 2 of our very own rescued kittens from earlier this summer, Mazzie & Zoey and their human owner Debby.  She was kind enough to foster the last baby cat found who we thought was a boy but turned out to really be a girl.  Mr. McFlufferson is really a Mrs McFlufferson. Debby calls her Sissy.
I am now going to share some tuna with my new friends and swap some owner/people stories with them. Being out in the streets I'm sure they've got plenty of them.

Good News This Day.....

And upon them came an Angel (Dita) and as she floated above them she said "Fear not, for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. To you this day, a home was found for little baby Mr. McFlufferson." and then she swung around and hissed at Craven cause the string holding her up was starting to chaffe.

Kitten Rescued From Drowning

This little guy was rescued last night around 11pm. Our neighbor Gale and her boyfriend Rob found this little guy drowing in a pool of water under a drainage area. They pulled him out, dried him off and put a little heating pad under him to keep him warm. Unfortunately they are not able to keep him. I am going to try to see if he can be sheltered at the SPCA and if not, find him a foster home until a home can be found for him. We can't release him back out because for starters, he's male and needs to be fixed before any more of him pop up. His father is Big Tom which happens to be the daddy of most kittes in the area. Just look at this face, how is he not going to be a heart breaker?  He's about 5-7 weeks old. He's so cute isn't he? Please contact me if you have any leads on a home for him. Thanks!

This brings us to 6 cats and 4 kittens left to capture.
