Paw Prints

The vet's office did a nice little paw print of Dita as a keepsake. We received a sympathy card from Jen & Mike Fitzsimmons who were the wonderful people who rescued Dita from the shelter almost 4 years ago.

Since Dita will no longer be overseeing posts, we may be renaming the blog.  Anyone with any ideas for a new name, please feel free to send me their suggestions.  A candidate in the running is "Craven and the 3 Hooligans".

Rest In Peace Little Lady

Dita lost her battle with what we thought was a thyroid issue.  Her body wasn't processing protein properly but all her tests were coming out ok. Her last visit on Friday to the vet turned out to be her last.  She fought the good fight for almost a year.  Thank you for all your emails, texts and phone calls over the past few days. They have meant alot to us.  She will be greatly missed.

**Happy Easter***

OOOooo look into my eyes....yes...now give me your tunaaaAAAAaaaa... lol.  I've been under the weather for the past few months and working with my vet on trying to get my weight back up.  Turns out I have a thyroid condition that caused me to drop some weight to a scary 5.5lbs. I'm back up to 6.5lbs and hopefully I'll put a little more back on in the near future.

The kitties are all still here and are approaching their 1 year anniversary of being rescued from outside.  They are still climbing everything and at one point in February, they were swinging from a helium balloon they were trying to catch.  This one here is Dolly.  As you can see, she is much bigger but still has her bushy tail.  The other two are probably climbing the bookcase or to the top of the closet in the other room.

Sorry for the delays with the updates. We will try to stay on top of them as spring is here.  The SPCA has changed their policies with the TNR program.  We are trying to coordinate the best days for trapping now as we have to make appointments before bringing them in.  Not sure how this is going to work out for us but we will keep trying.

Hope you all had a very Happy Easter! - Dita

Sending Kisses Your Way

Here's my impression of the people on this mug. HA! In a few days, I will be required to wear my valentine fluffy thing around my neck as well as Craven. Oh joy. Can't wait. Maybe the kitties will be made to wear angel wings and diapers.

CEO & Chairman of the Breakfast Club

Meet Paco Chocolate. He is the CEO & Chairman of the Breakfast club at work.  He oversees all the toys and crumpled papers.  He makes sure we are kept in line and doesn't allow attitudes other then his.  This is his 'I am Paco, and I approve this message' face.  He has lovely cat ears though..or are they bat ears?  Thank you Jenny Chocolate for the lovely photo!

Happy Twenty Elebenty!!!

Happy 2011 everyone! Delilah, Arlene McFeely's cat, decided she wanted to go somewhere else warm. First she tried to travel by paw but it was too cold.

She finally found another way to travel..by basket.  Good Luck on finding warmer weather Delilah!

Josie - Friend of the Day

Please meet Josie.  She is a beautiful tortie cat.  She has such big beautiful eyes.  Here is her impression of Oliver Twist.  She doesn't stop there with her impressions either.

Josie is obviously a fan of the fine arts.  Here is her tribute to David Hasslehoff.  As you can see, she lives with a wonderful family who takes great care of her but might want to cut back on her TV time.
