Merry Catmus to All!

Christmas cat, Biscuit, has come to spread cheer to Christmas Town. Where have all the villagers run off too?

And speaking of kitties enjoying their new forever homes, here's an updated picture of Peek-A-Boo looking very regal. Love the milkstache!
And one more with Peek-A-Boo enjoying lounging around at home with her housemate, Turbo.

Thank you for your submissions. We love hearing from everyone and all the wonderful happily ever afters!

Cat-mas Tree

I put up my Christmas tree last night and decided to forgo the regular ornaments and use the cat toys instead.  I figured they'd be up in it anyways.
Johnny decides he needs to inspect the tree to make sure it's up to code.  Some of the toys fell off the branches as he's peeking through the tree.

They noticed I was watching and hid behind the tree as if I couldn't see them.  They did knock it down about an hour after it was up.  I picked it up off the floor and proped it back up.  That was around 10pm last night.

This is what I woke up to this morning around 5:30am.  Notice Dolly hiding behind the tree.  The others had bolted when they heard my footsteps.  At least they had a good time.

Mikey - Leader of the Pack

“Mikey – the oldest of the five rescue kitties. He is approximately 11 or 12 and is the most confident, and as a result the self appointed leader, of the rescue pack. Mike was very close with my father in law and really took his death very hard. He loves Dave because Dave looks and sounds like the spitting image of his Dad, who Mikey never forgot. Mike is a cool collected cat. Picture of the hissing spitting nightmare from this morning before the devil took possession of his body..." - Paula Cole

Paula’s mother-in-law passed away and was kind enough to take in her 5 cats.  This is just one of the kitties she took in.  Let’s hope her dogs and cat help make their transition into their new home a good one.  Good Luck Paula!

Here are a couple of pics of the dogs that hopefully the cats will come to love.

Wonderful Cats In Need of a Good Home

The following post is for a friend in need. Please read and pass along to anyone who might be interested.
Misty  11 years old

Kristy 9 years old
Misty & Kristy were my beloved grandmother’s cats. My grandma passed away a few years ago & my family and I have been trying to take care of them, but I have two cats in my tiny condo and my mother is allergic & cannot bring them to her home. Both are fixed and frontlined so they are healthy and flee free. Both are litter box trained and they have a brand new litter box and come with plenty of food and toys. Both love pets, are very playful & sweet and just want someone around to pay them some attention. They are indoor/outdoor cats, but I would prefer they find an indoor home as I feel it is safer for them. While it would be ideal that they both go to the same “new home”, we will gladly separate them if they are offered good homes by cat lovers. If you cannot adopt them, please pass this info along to someone you think might be able to or that might know someone who will open their home to these sweet little girls.

I am willing to drive them pretty much anywhere to their new home, so no travel will be necessary on your part. I do not want to see them go to a shelter, any help you can give would be more than appreciated by both myself & my family.

Please only message me if you are truly interested, or may know someone that is, needless to say this is a very hard and heart wrenching decision & I only wish to do what is best for these two kitties.

If interested, please feel free to contact Tara Pasca at the email address listed below.

Thank You Neighbors!

It's been a busy time around here and some of the neighbors are pitching in.  There are 2 more neighbors who are helping with the TRN (Trap Neuter & Release).  Someone left a small carrier on Gale's porch for future use and some cans of food by my back door for our outside friends.  Also on a fantastic note, another neighbor came and got Gale to help her save 2 small kittens who's mother had not returned.  They were about 2 weeks old so they were taken immediately to the SPCA where they will be looked after until they can be adopted out.  Thank you all again for the help!

Like my belt?

This was the only photo I could get of this.  Dolly was playing with a paper shopping bag and managed to get the handle around her waist. It ended up looking like she had a little apron on.  She wouldn't let me remove it.  She finally wiggled out of it a while later.  Wonder what she's going to use as an accessory next.

3 Little Kittens Who Lost Their Mittens

My neighbor Gale & I were out for a walk when a neighbor pointed out the kittens in a bush. They helped us scoop them up into a box.  There's 2 boys and 1 girl.  They are soo cute.

They are extremely friendly and let you pick them up with no problems. They are very curious and love to climb things.  Hopefully the SPCA will take them in tomorrow as they need to be fed every 3-4 hours as well as simulated cleaning to help them go to the bathroom as well.  They are too cute.

Check the Warranty

Update on Zoey & Mazzie:
The warranty on these cats have expired. No refunds or exchanges can be made.  The mother cat covered her face with her paw and said "meow meow" which we could only interpret as 'No Comment' when asked about her babies turning into vegetarians.

3 Kitties of the Apocalypse

You enter a room and come across something like this...and then they look up at you in unison and then back down again...time to back away slowly.  Just back away and leave them be.  There's plotting afoot.

Buttercup Update

Here is an update on the little girl we caught and then went into a foster home.  She has since found a forever home and is doing great.  Turns out the daughter of the woman who adopted her, lives in our complex where we caught her.  Small world.  So glad she was adopted out so quickly.

Sleep Well Top Cat

This little fellah was Top Cat. He was a good little kitty.  He was very loved by his owner Natasha.  He passed away a few days ago.

Here's one of him in the shadows and one below looks like he's ready to play or maybe he's just asking when's dinner. :)

- Good Night Sweet Kitty -

"He was the best cat that anyone could have... but then he got hit by a car. I cried and cried and cried but then I remebered he knows that I love him and he IS in a better place now so, maybe, just maybe it was just time to go - <3I LOVE YOU TOPCAT♥ WE ALL LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU!!!!!"  - Natasha Lomeli

Packing Myself to CheezeBurgerVille

First we carefully inspect the box..make sure it's labeled Fragile so my tail doesn't get kinked up.

The Call Came From In The House!!

Nothing more fun then going to someone's house unexpectedly and calling them on their cell phone from their own home phone.  They tend to think that maybe the cat is calling.  My apologies to Debby. It was the best 'Hello?' I've ever heard in my life though. :)

Mom's Left Me Again!

Oh the agony! I'm just going to lie here withering away while my mom runs off to who know's where.  She didn't even leave me any treats! Pay no attention to the background items.  Look at me instead. Being sad, being pathetic.  Le Sigh.  Wonder if Debby or Arlene will fall for this trick?

It's a Girl!!

The little one went to the vet and got all her shots.  We were also told she was a girl about 8 weeks old.

Here she is napping after coming home from the visit to the doctor. She's all cleared for adoption.

She's such a good little girl. As you can see..she likes to snuggle.  She is being taken into a rescue group who will foster it with some other kittens.  She is still looking for a forever home though.  If anyone is interested please let us know.

The Baked Goods & Their New Home

This is Biscuit.

This is Cookie.

                                                          This is Annette with Cookie.

They were called "The Baked Goods" by their previous owner, Lisa Sullivan, who passed away recently when she lost her battle with cancer at age 50.  She lived in Vero Beach, Florida.  Annette and her husband, Bill,  took in the cuties and they are doing very well.  There was a third cat but she was able to find a good home as these two had to go together.  Debby DeJong had gone down for the funeral and helped transport the kitties from their former home to their new home.   Thank you to Annette & Bill for taking them in.  They look very happy.

This little tiger as adorable!  It's head is as small as a nail polish bottle. Such a cute baby. Hopefully he/she will have a home ASAP!  There was someone who was interested pre capture. Hopefully they will still want the baby.  So cute...sooo cute.

Kitties Going Condo

We decided to see if we could put a stop to the cardboard massacres by turning one into a little house. Not pictured are the two windows on either side of the box.  A cute front door and a hanging ball with a bell in it from the ceiling.  I moved into it for the night to see if it passed inspection.  Very comfy. Started moving in some of my things already.  Now if I can put the door back up to keep the kittens out, that would be great! - Craven

Who Wants Pizza?

The Box Bandit strikes again.  This time stealing a pizza box from top of the counter and sliding it into their green room to play and roll around on the box.  Tonight we will be making a house out of a larger box for everyone to see if the madness stops with the stealing of random cardboard objects.

The Apartment Life - A Tail of 2 Kitties

Brie & Nikki recently moved with their `rent to a swanky new apartment.  As you can see here, Brie is taking in the new view.

Nikki, on the other hand, seems to be holding down the fort making sure everything is being put in its proper place.  Hope the movers didn't misplace any of her things.

Nikki and Brie napping away.  New apartment seems to be kitty approved.  Congrats Allison!

Innocent Until Proven Guilty

They say all criminals return to the scene of the crime to either admire their handiwork or to do it again.  Still trying to figure out if she got bored halfway through or if she's pretending to be asleep so she doesn't get into trouble.  Looks like Dolly will be serving a time out soon.

No Box Is Safe

The Crime scene is currently being taped off and an investigation is under way.  The victim, a snack tray standing innocently upright in it's box.  Several clues have been left behind such as a piece of fur, a piece of what seems to be cat food and a pair of eyes peeping from behind a chair.  More details at 11:00pm.
